Computers for All
Students will be able to build on their own individual needs and skills to produce a variety of documents using Word, Publisher, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. Students will also gain confidence to use the internet and an email package with confidence. Beginners are very welcome.
To give beginners the skills to use a computer, access own program to create, edit and save a file. Existing students will be given the opportunity to further their skills using a variety of Microsoft applications. The course is flexible and can be adapted to students' individual needs.

The course will cover a variety of subjects depending on the individual needs of each student.
What will it be like?
WEA classes are friendly and supportive. You will be encouraged to work together with your fellow students and tutor. You will be asked to share your ideas and views in the class and work with the group to give and accept feedback in a supportive environment. The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you to be actively involved in your learning. You may be asked to undertake work to support your course outside of your class.
By the end of the course I should be able to:
Use the Windows Magnifier Change Menu font sizes Use the Task View and Desktop Options Change Desktop Icon sizes from small to large Shut down correctly.
How will I know I'm making progress?
Verbal feedback each week on progress. Students can keep a learning diary to record their own progress. Written feedback will be given on ILPs.

All materials and equipment will be provided.

Other computer courses either with the WEA or other providers.
