Study Visit - Henry Vaughan and the Usk Valley

We will travel by coach to the Vale of Usk to explore the life and works of the seventeenth century metaphysical poet Henry Vaughan. Known as 'The Swan of Usk', Henry Vaughan was born and buried in the Vale of Usk. Liz Siberry, who is the joint editor of 'Henry Vaughan and the Usk Valley, will give a talk. We shall visit the church where Henry Vaughan is buried, have a picnic or café lunch (not included in the fee) and visit Tretower Court, formerly the seat of the Vaughan family.
