Needle Felting

This course is for all abilities. Learners will be shown how to needle felt and wet felt and make beautiful projects. An introduction to the different techniques used in needle felting will be shown.

To Provide an introduction into needle felting and wet felt , learn new techniques and inspire creative ideas

Who is the course for?

What topics will this course cover

The topics this course will contain are: 3D Needle felting: learners will be shown how to make a bear, Armature: Learners will be shown how to make a fairy or ballerina using wires, Wet Felting: Learners will be shown how to use a resist to make a bag, purse, glasses case or ipad case, 2D Needle Felting: learners will be shown how to make flowers and how make a landscape picture

What will it be like?

WEA classes are friendly and supportive. You will be encouraged to work together with your fellow students and tutor. You will be asked to share your ideas and views in the class and work with the group to give and accept feedback in a supportive environment. The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you to be actively involved in your learning. You may be asked to undertake work to support your course outside of your class.

By the end of the course I should be able to:

What else do I need to know, do or bring?

everything is provided however you could bring your own, rolling pin and felting needles if you wish

no reading is necessary

What could the course lead to?

learners could further their knowledge by attending further needle felting or crafts classes through WEA.
