In this course we will be working towards improving our linguistic skills and encouraging individual and group learning in a relaxed environment with lots of different activities.

Course aim

The course will provide learners with the tools needed to improve their Spanish in speaking, reading, listening and writing

Who is the course for?

Adults aged 19+ with a good command of Spanish language and grammar up to level 2

What topics will this course cover

Conjugation of regular verbs, conjugation of irregular verbs, different tenses, pronouns and prepositions, conversation and listening skills

What will it be like?

WEA classes are friendly and supportive. You will be encouraged to work together with your fellow students and tutor. You will be asked to share your ideas and views in the class and work with the group to give and accept feedback in a supportive environment. The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you to be actively involved in your learning. You may be asked to undertake work to support your course outside of your class.

By the end of the course I should be able to:

Conjugate present tense of both regular and irregular verbs, conjugate past tenses, conjugate future tenses, use the imperative and use pronouns and prepositions

How will I know I'm making progress?

Informal and constant feedback/assessment from the tutor. Formal feedback via the Individual Learning Plan (ILP)

What else do I need to know, do or bring?

Pen, paper and a bilingual dictionary
