Painting & Drawing
The course will give you the ability to produce your very own masterpiece in brush techniques that are easy to learn and fun. You will be given the skills to apply realistic appearance to your paintings as in painting landscapes to look like a landscape and be visually pleasing.
The course aims to give you the ability to produce your own artwork, in a medium of your choice within five easy steps.

What will it be like?
WEA classes are friendly and supportive. You will be encouraged to work together with your fellow students and tutor. You will be asked to share your ideas and views in the class and work with the group to give and accept feedback in a supportive environment. The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you to be actively involved in your learning. You may be asked to undertake work to support your course outside of your class.

By the end of the course you will be able to understand how to create your own painting. Also how to use these techniques to enhance your own painting style.
How will I know I'm making progress?
Your artwork will be assessed in a progressive (as the work is being done) way, the artist / tutor will use group critiques and one to one to assess your knowledge and understanding in a fun and friendly way.
What else do I need to know, do or bring?
Your own pencils, paper, paints and brushes.
Reading and information sources
Just an interest in the subject.
What could the course lead to?
From basic to intermediate and then advanced.
