Women Only. Students must be a member of WHIST
What topics will this course cover
Aerobic cardio exercise to music to improve mind and body A variety of exercises at a level that suits you using including mat work or chair exercises, weight and flexi bands All exercises are aimed at strengthening the body Meditation to calm the mind
What will it be like?
WEA classes are friendly and supportive. You will be encouraged to work together with your fellow students and tutor. You will be asked to share your ideas and views in the class and work with the group to give and accept feedback in a supportive environment. The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you to be actively involved in your learning. You may be asked to undertake work to support your course outside of your class.
By the end of the course I should be able to:
Demonstrate at least two co-ordinated exercise routines to music Understand how these exercise routines are impacting on their own fitness level and how to improve Understand the benefits of meditation and demonstrate a de-stress technique Understand how the exercises are benefiting their body e.g. strengthen body Understand how exercise can improve ailments

keep notes of progression on course, questions and demonstrations

comfortable clothing good footwear
Reading and information sources
none but can read up about aerobics
