This course is for students who are working towards E2 reading skills. On this course you will learn about using different tenses to communicate about everyday events in the past, present and future. You will use role plays to practise useful conversations (e.g. at the doctor’s, or in a job interview) and improve your pronunciation.
Course aim
This course will help you to improve your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in English. It will help you get ready to move onto a City & Guilds ESOL Entry 2 accredited course in future.
Do I need any particular skills or experience?
By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Use maps, diagrams and photographs to get information
- Identify and use common sources of information.
- Get information from a range of different texts (such as letters, emails, leaflets, tables)
- Read words with common spelling patterns
- Use your knowledge of context and letter-sound relationships to help you read words
