Learners will develop knowledge / understanding of anatomy, health and safety, client consultation, products, tools and equipment. Technical skills will cover learners to effectively consult with clients, shampoo and condition, and cut and finish their hair.

Course aim

Affords students skills and knowledge to enter employment or self-employment as a Jr. women’s hairdresser. Includes Award in Infection Prevention for hairdressing as prerequisite to practical work.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • No previous experience just a desire to want to learn and gain skills and knowledge in Woman’s Hairdressing.

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • To gain practical Skills related to the Beauty Industry.
  • To gain a better understanding of the terminology regarding Prevent Duty, Safeguarding and British Values.
  • To develop a 5 year Business Plan reflecting my long term goals after gaining this qualification.
  • To have a clear understanding of different pathways and Progression routes to further my career goals.
