Course aim

to provide a brief introduction to Functional Skills English

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for improvers
  • Before you can join this course you will need to talk to a member of staff and do an initial assessment to make sure the course is right for you. Please call the Student Support Team on 0300 303 3464

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • to read a text for information
  • to recognise 2 features that are used to help us understand a text
  • to use sentence punctuation
  • to write an email using correct spelling and grammar
