Initial life-skills are based on the Alcoholics Anonymous book and help with mental recovery through study practises. Physical recovery includes tai chi and chi gung exercises for relaxation and fitness. Social recovery is applied through regular connection in groups and one to one mentoring. Mentoring skills are taught as part of each class.

Course aim
This course is for members of a Rehabilitation Centre and those requiring aftercare when they leave. The classes are based on simple life skills training and a flexible mentoring system. The life-skills include employability training.
Do I need any particular skills or experience?
- This course is for beginners and improvers
By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Form a self supporting group or mentoring process through which to succeed in my recovery
- Discuss my difficulties openly with others to help achieve a positive and confident approach to my recovery
- Read and understand the basic requirements for a successful recovery process via the A.A. 'big book '.
- Use the internet to help with my employability research skills
- Mentor others through the difficult parts of their recovery
