This short course will help you gain an understanding of working with childrne in an educational setting. It will explain the roles and responsibilities of those who support children and how to keept hem safe.It will consider aspects of the Early years curriculum and National curriculum and share activities that support children in their learning and developnment. The course will look at ways forward in your own career pursuits, for example inbecoming a teaching assistant, early years practitioner and other roles in a school setting.

This course will provide an introduction to working with children in an educational setting.

  • This course is for beginners

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Identify the main roles and responsibilities when working with children in an educational setting
  • Explore the main aims of the Early Years curriculum and National curriculum
  • Identify 3 strategies to support children in their learning and development through play
  • Identify ways to keep children safe in an educational setting
  • Explore ways to promote diversity and inclusion

This course is delivered online( 2 sessions per week) over zoom. You will be able to access all the course materials through Canvas.
