This course in two parts and is aimed at anyone , parents carers or workers working with children and teenagers with ADHD. Symptoms of ADHD will be looked at in detail as well as diagnosis and how this may relate to an EHCP. It explores the main presentations in children and young adults as well as possible causes .It looks at related possible conditions and strategies for helping the condition both at home and at school for parents and educational workers . We will explore mitigating factors which can increase the severity of the condition. The course will have a task to complete after week one and short tasks and discussions to complete within the course . There will be quizzes and revision questions to check your learning along the way ,We will explore how the condition may change over time and be affected by puberty.

Course aim
The course aims to inform parents carers and people who work with children with ADHD .We explore the possible causes, symptoms diagnosis , development of ADHD over time , the possible links to autism and strategies and therapies which can help.

- Define the possible causes and characteristics of ADHD and devise strategies to support children/ and young adults with this condition .
