This is a taster for beginners who want to learn how to browse the web effectively via Google. Find out the quickest route from search to information. Learn how to use tabs like Image and News in your search; use shortcuts in your search and learn the language and words that websites use.

Using google in order to search for and then find the information you want and learning how to refine and improve your search.

  • Learn topic related definitions
  • Define a search engine
  • Identify the appropriate words and phrases to use for a Google search
  • Be able to use search operators, eg quote marks
  • Recognise the correct result from a search
