This 2 part online course provides an introduction to the frameworks used to describe and diagnose autism. It looks at the significant impact of sensory issues to give an insight into how children with autism actually experience the world. Real life examples and experiences are used to explain the strategies to support communication, engagement in activities and positive behaviour. Within CANVAS learners will be signposted to further digital resources to meet their individual needs beyond the session. A certificate is available on request.
