This short, friendly course will help you understand what volunteering is. You will better understand what you want to get out of volunteering and how to match your interests to volunteering roles in your area.

By the end of the course I should be able to:
- List the main reasons people choose to volunteer their time
- Describe what my main reason is for volunteering
- Describe what is usually expected of a volunteer (e.g. by finding the Volunteer Policy for an organisation that interests me)
- Find the websites and places where volunteering roles are usually advertised
What else do I need to know?
Please bring a notebook and a pen as you'll get lots of ideas from the tutor and from the others on the course.
