Using Social Media to find work

Participants will learn how to search for a job online, using the government and other job search websites. They will also use some social media websites to look for work. The course will also provide tips on the job search process including preparation, writing and uploading covering letters and CVs and interview preparation.

Course aim

This short course will enable participants to use a range of websites to look for employment, including social media and government websites.

  • This course is for beginners

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Use the gov.uk website to search for a job.
  • Register with the LInked In website and use it to search for a job.
  • Discuss how using Instagram and Twitter could help me to get work.
  • Gain valuable tips on job searching from preparation to interview.
