Resorting to the coast looks at aspects of UK resort development from the 17th century to the present.From the early inland spas to the seaside towns and cities we now enjoy there is an historical thread connecting all. We look at the raucous life of 18th century spas, the movement to coastal locations and the growth of a whole new economy based on leisure, on ethat provided work in often depressed coastal economies.
