How did the Greeks and Romans see the world around them? There was wonder and fear at the natural world and we shall explore some aspects of these feelings. Myth and reality were often fused, so expect some unlikely tales.
Course aim
To enable students to appreciate the diverse ways in which the Greeks and Romans responded to the natural world.

By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Be aware of some of the Greek and Roman myths relating to the natural world.
- Share the wonder of nature exhibited by the Greeks and Romans in their natural surroundings.

This is a lecture but with participation from the students via questions and comment.
