The war between Troy and Greece is familiar to many of us from tales of childhood, but exactly how does the ‘face that launched a thousand ships’ connect with a wooden horse, a dodgy heel and human sacrifice? We shall sail from Greece to Troy, and after 10 years, sail back with our booty to a hero’s welcome.

Course aim

1. To introduce (or revisit) the story of the Trojan War. 2. To untangle some of the events of this long and intricate story.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • To explore the story of the Trojan War.
  • To have an understanding of some of the less well known aspects of the Trojan War story.
