This short on line course will help students prepare for the NCFE/CACHE L2 Support Work In Schools & Colleges course, offered either on line or in person. You will find out how to use Zoom effectively, including the Chat and screen-sharing tools. You will be introduced to Canvas, the WEA's on line learning platform, and learn the skills needed to prepare a digital portfolio for the L2 course. You will also have an introduction to the course, with an overview of the six units of study, so that you can decide if it's the right course for you.
Course aim
To provide a brief introduction to the L2 Support Work in Schools course and help students gain the digital skills they will need to complete this accredited course successfully.
Do I need any particular skills or experience?

By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Understand what is required to complete the NCFE/CACHE L2 Support Work in Schools and Colleges course successfully, Including being able to access and use Canvas with Zoom, including completing a Canvas quiz and downloading a document, working on it and uploading it to Canvas when completed.
What else do I need to know?
You will need access to the internet and a device such as a tablet or laptop to access Canvas. As the L2 SWIS course cannot be completed on a mobile, using a phone is not recommended for this course. You may find a pen and paper useful for taking notes if you wish.
