This course is online. This course is to increase confidence in communication. We will look at communication in different situations, in one to one, small group and larger group levels. We will develop discussion skills and learn how to express our opinions.

Course aim
To increase confidence in communicating in different situations. To develop skills in presenting your ideas to others.
Do I need any particular skills or experience?
- This course is for beginners and improvers
By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Take an active part in discussions and give your viewpoint with confidence.
- Use your skills to communicate in different situations - informally and formally.
- Give a short presentation.
- Recognise body language signals and talk about the impaortance of non-verbal communication
- Identify the main points of a presentation and ask relevant questions to find out more information.
What else do I need to know?
You will need an internet connection, speakers, a microphone and a webcam so that you can use Zoom. You will need an email address, so you can join the online learning platform, Canvas. At the sessions you will need a pen and a notebook.
