This is a one-off online taster session designed to introduce you to some of the basics of the Greek language and to give you some insight into the Greek lifestyle and culture. In this fun and lively session, you will learn how to greet people and introduce yourself and also how to order a few snacks and drinks at a café and ask for the bill.
Course aim
To give you a taste of learning basic everyday Greek for holiday or leisure and to give you a glimpse into the Greek lifestyle and culture.
Do I need any particular skills or experience?
- This course is for beginners
- No prior experience of learning Greek is needed.
By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Order a few snacks and drinks at a café and ask for the bill
What else do I need to know?
You will need to download and, if possible, print some materials from Canvas, the WEA learning platform, before the taster starts. If that is not possible, you will need to take down some notes during the session, instead.
