Welcome to our Evening Online Relaxation Course. You will learn to relax physically, mentally and emotionally through a variety of techniques. You will learn a range of breathing techniques that help you to release tension and calm your mind. You will learn some simple, mindful movements that help you to ease tension in the body and to connect with the flow of vital energy in the body. We will explore how the breath leads us to stillness and joy and how sound release leads us to silence.Each session ends with a guided, deep relaxation. Learn to truly relax and let go in the comfort of your own home.
Course aim
This course aims to prepare students for the practice of guided deep relaxation through body and breath awareness, gentle stretch and release practices so that they may experience stillness of mind and body in their guided relaxation.
Do I need any particular skills or experience?
- This course is for improvers
By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Practice some simple pandiculation movements that help to release tightness in your muscles.
- Explore the breath releasing the body through subtle, gentle movements and relaxing poses.
- Experience the breath as a pathway to stillness and joy.
- Experience sound release as a pathway to silence.
- Develop and deepen your deep relaxation practice through a range of Guided Yoga Nidras.
What else do I need to know?
A yoga mat or thick rug/blanket to lie on. Cushions/pillows for support. A chair for seated practices.
