Course aim

This course will study in chronological order , the life times and music of Igor Stravinsky, linked with encouraging students to enharnce their listening skills when listening to music composed by I.Stravinsky.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Be able to identify the basic elements bound within music.
  • Be able to briefly describe Igor Stravinsky`s life circumstances and contemporary times.
  • Be able to briefly describe Igor Stravinsky`s musical style.
  • Have a brief recall of several of Igor Stravinsky`s musical compositions.
  • Be encouraged to listen to more music composed by I.Stravinsky e.g. at local concerts. on radio3. and Classic FM etc.
