This short course is a starting point in raising awareness about mental health and identifying appropriate responses. We will cover good and poor mental health, causes and symptoms of mental health problems and we will devise a simple action plan to respond to and support adults with mental health difficulties. This course is suitable for learners with English as a second language.

To raise awareness of mental health with a view to making positive changes in your life.

By the end of the course I should be able to:
- describe good and poor mental health
- recognise causes and symptoms of mental health problems
- demonstrate an understanding of depression and its impact
- practise active listening skills
- develop a simple action plan
