The course will focus on what children need and also what helps them to grow into resilient people. It will help to address risk taking and the need for this to be managed but not stopped and will also focus on how we can interact and spend time with our children making the most of quality time together what ever form this takes.

Course aim
A course that will help parents to identify the needs of children and how we can raise resilient children by providing a safe and loving environment that has boundaries however encourages independence and accountability.

By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Understand then importance of setting boundaries and how to manage expectations
- Understand the importance of being a parent first and a friend second
- Acknowledge different parenting techniques and adopt a style that works for your family
- Recognise that children will not always tow the line and that you need to have a plan in place for when things don’t go to plan
- Improving active listening skills and opportunities to spend time together

All materials will be provided It would be helpful if you had access to the internet (Mobile phone, tablet or computer at home or through a library etc.) Access to the Internet for the Zoom session and to enable you to access the course materials in the session and outside of session time.
