Course aim

A guide to writing for magazines and beyond - how to write, research, style and structure an article - making first contact and exploring the online possibilities of reviews and blogging.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners and improvers
  • No previous experience required - Open to All.

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Express an understanding of the processes involved in writing for publication.
  • Demonstrate confidence in one's abilities to comment on, critiquing and/or editing a feature article.
  • Draw from own skills, experience and interests in creating a works of one's own in accordance to one of more of the 'publication formats' covered.
  • Display competence in the development of written texts which adhere to the forms covered.
  • Demonstrate motivation and enthusiasm for the subject area.
