Recycling into arts & crafts

Ref: C3533832

The course will be looking at using everyday materials, that normally would be thrown out or be used differently, in your arts and crafts. You will learn to transform waste products and other materials into decorative and/or useable items together.

Course aim

The main purpose of the course is to give you an idea of how to take everyday waste objects, such as plastic bottles and plastic milk containers, and use them in art and craft projects.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Create an item out of an object that would normally be thrown away.
  • Be able to give at least one idea on how to turn what would be considered a waste object into something else.
  • Create your own piece of recycled work independently.
  • State one thing that you like about your creation, and why.
  • State one thing you would like to improve on if you did the same make again.

How will I be taught?

What kind of feedback can I expect?

What else do I need to know?

Tutor will supply resources for tutor lead activities. You will be encouraged to bring your own creative ideas, items and projects to share with the rest of the group.
