This course is designed to help learners gain a good understanding of British culture, festivals, celebrations and traditions in the UK. This will help you to feel more confident about living in the UK, knowing where to look for employment, how to apply for jobs and how to access medical services

Course aim

To understand the fundamental values and principles that all those living in the UK respect and support.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for improvers
  • Before you can join this course you will need to talk to a member of staff and do an initial assessment to make sure the course is right for you. Please call the Student Support Team on 0300 303 3464

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • By the end of the course you will be able to name 5 different places in the UK
  • By the end of the course you will understand what the NHS is and how to access their services
  • By the end of the course you will be able to name the biggest festivals and celebrations in the UK
  • By the end of the course you will be able to identify 3 websites where you can look for a job in the UK
  • By the end of the course you will be able to name 3 symbols of the UK

Conditions

  • You have a valid email address so that you can receive confirmation of your booking
  • You have been resident in the UK, EU or EEA for the last 3 years
  • You are aged 19 years or older on 1st September 2021
  • You declare that the address you provide is correct and that you will provide evidence of this and your eligibility to live and work in the UK
  • You have read and accept our standard terms and conditions
