Combining theory and a practical approach, this course will help you with the tools required to improve your knowledge and confidence with food, therefore empowering you to invest in a healthy life plan that you can be in control of. Have you battled it out with the weight loss yo-yo and finding it difficult? Concerned about health and want to explore nutrition strategies for helping support your body? Do you find it is like an uphill battle with the confusing messages about what is healthy, and what is not? This course combines with other courses to help with your "toolkit".

Course aim

This course discusses key dietary principals, with a focus on designing and adjusting an individual program. It is designed to be realistic, and adaptable to suit your own circumstances.

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Understand some basic principles of a healthy lifestyle
  • Demonstrate an understanding of how to plan a healthy and realistic diet
  • Apply some dietary knowledge to my individual circumstances
  • Understand how ultra processed foods can affect weight management
