This course is for learners of Spanish who are already able to speak Spanish to at least the top level of A2, as the class is taught in Spanish, with the exception of explanations in English if they are necessary. Learners will develop their listening and speaking skills, previous knowledge of present, past, present perfect, future and conditional is required, as they are used in conversation. In the course, learners will participate in communicative activities to help practice all these tenses, plus increase their vocabulary and introduce new, interesting topics. All learners will participate in conversations and activities to have the chance to develop their oral and aural skills. In the course, the learners will have access to a balanced mix of communicative activities, grammar, writing and reading exercises.
Course aim
To practice spoken Spanish, improve vocabulary and knowledge of expressions and grammar at a level of A2-B1 of the European Framework of Languages. This course is a follow up from Languages: Spanish A2-B1 Intermediate 2
Do I need any particular skills or experience?
- This is an advanced course for students with experience and skills in this subject
- Students need to know and be able to use in conversation the following tenses, present, imperfect, preterite, present perfect, future and conditional. Conversation will be at A2-B1 level.
By the end of the course I should be able to:
- converse with two or more people on varied topics in Spanish.
- follow some of what is said in some TV programmes such as documentaries or news.
- follow a conversation in a large group.
- express opinions about varied topics and explain the reasons why.
What else do I need to know?
In lessons we share screen for documents and exercises, a computer screen is useful. Joining with a phone or a tablet is possible if the learner is able to see the writing on the screen easily. Ability to use the "Zoom chat" and click on a link to access Google documents is desirable.
