This is a course for learners of Spanish who are already working at an A1 level. In the course, you will be developing your speaking and listening skills, practicing the grammar acquired in the previous courses. You will be speaking and participating in lessons using the present tense, simple past, present perfect and "ir a" future. A typical lesson will consist of an introductory chat in Spanish working towards A1 Level, followed by other activities, which could include communicative activities, reading and/or writing, grammar revision or introduction, exercises. The aim of the course is help the student to improve in the communicative aspects of Spanish whilst maintaining the right balance of practice, oral and listening practice and grammar exercises.
Course aim
Spanish course for higher beginners level working towards intermediate level. You will be working at higher A1 of the European Framework of Languages.
Do I need any particular skills or experience?
- This course is for improvers
- To join this course students need to already know the present tense, simple past, present perfect, and "ir a", and being able to use them in simple conversations.
By the end of the course I should be able to:
- initiate a conversation with at least one other person in Spanish.
- participate in a conversation about simple and general topics known to me with one or two people.
- use present tense, present perfect, and "ir a" in writing and conversation with relatively few errors.
- express likes and dislikes, and preferences when talking about general topics.
- to communicate plans and talk about the future with others.
What else do I need to know?
We do a lot of screen sharing, so it´s best if you can use a device with a screen that will allow you to see the materials properly, small screens might be an issue. Ability to use "Zoom chat" and be able to click on links to access Google documents is useful. This course is a follow up.
