This course is suitable for anyone interested in learning some simple basic skills using British Sign Language (BSL) to enable them to improve their communication with D/deaf people.

Course aim

Have you ever thought about learning British Sign Language (BSL), but wondered if this would be right for you? This course aims to introduce learners to some simple basic skills in British Sign Language covering a range of topics.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners
  • No skills or experience needed.

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Understand simple, basic information presented in British Sign Language.
  • Begin to develop the ability to provide simple, basic information in British Sign Language.
  • Begin to participate in simple conversation with Deaf people using British Sign Language.
