Calligraphy for Learning Poetry (World Poetry Day)

Learning a poem by heart has always been a much admired skill and calligraphy is a great way of assisting this process. To celebrate World Poetry Day by combining the two we will cover a simple style of calligraphy to help you write out the poem with a wide range of tips to help you memorise a short poem.

Course aim

Combining the skill of calligraphy with the joy of learning poetry by heart.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • understand simple calligraphy techniques suitable for learning poetry
  • use a techniques to memorise a few lines of poetry

Paper - there will be guideline sheets to print out Pencil Pen that you are very comfortable with or a Tombow Fudenosuke brush pen, available from Amazon or art shops
