This session will introduce you to the practice of Chair Yoga - participants can remain seated for the whole session. This session aims to bring yoga to people who may feel that a general yoga class may not suit them for a variety of reasons. Perhaps you have difficulty transitioning from lying to sitting or standing, or feel that a general yoga class may be too strenuous. This Chair Yoga session will have a gentle approach: we will focus on calming breathing techniques, exercises to improve coordination and ease stiffness in the joints, simple seated postures that improve both strength and flexibility as well as a guided relaxation. Yoga improves our physical and mental well being, please join me on International Yoga Day for an enjoyable session of Chair Yoga.
