Please join me or a Yoga session that focuses on our connection to Mother Earth, allowing us to celebrate International Mother Earth day through the practice of Yoga. This session will focus on grounding in postures, creating stability through our connection to the earth. We will practice the Earth Salutation, staying connected to the earth as we move. We will learn to really release tension in restful poses by allowing Mother Earth to hold our bodies, learning to let go. We will enjoy a deep relaxation practice using a creative visualisation that helps us to connect with Mother Nature and find deep rest.
Course aim
The purpose of this session is to encourage participants to celebrate their connection to Mother Earth, through the practice of Yoga.
Do I need any particular skills or experience?
- This course is for beginners and improvers
- You will need to be able to participate in standing and seated postures, and be able to lie down comfortably.
By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Recognise that the earth supports your body, learning to let go and release tension in restful poses.
- Follow a guided relaxation and guided visualisation that helps you to feel connected to Mother Earth.
What else do I need to know?
A Yoga Mat and blanket. A block and/or cushion. You may wish to sit in a chair for some seated practices.
