This lecture investigates Renaissance art in Southern and Northern Europe. The artistic achievements of Michelangelo, Leonardo, Raphael and van Eyck all feature in this extensively illustrated lecture.
Course aim
This lecture examines the impact of the Renaissance on art and history. Extensively illustrated it traces the main developments in Northern and Southern Europe as the middle ages came to a close and the modern world was born.
