Beginners Embroidery Course

The perfect course for beginners to pick up hand embroidery stitches and learn how to use them in a creative way, including embroidering simple letters. The stitches will be learned and practised over the weeks to create an embroidered sampler that you can refer to again and again for the techniques you have been taught. This a great way to learn traditional skills and engage with your creativity in a relaxed way.

Course aim

This course is an introduction into learning hand embroidery stitches for beginners and using the stitches to make a simple embroidered design.

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • An embroidered sampler of the stitches learned.
  • Demonstrate several basic hand embroidery stitches.
  • Know how to use hand embroidery equipment to get the best out of hand stitching.
  • Explore how to use hand stitching techniques in creative ways.
