Course aim
‘Modern Art’ arouses strong feelings - like it or loathe it! This course traces the development of painting and sculpture in the twentieth century.
Do I need any particular skills or experience?
- No skills or knowledge needed.
By the end of the course I should be able to:
- explain the main developments in european art of the last two centuries
- discuss the contexts which led to modern artistic movements
- describe the achievements of leading artists such as Picasso , Dali, Cezanne and Pollock
