Positive Opportunities: Part 2

A course based around group discussion, sharing of experiences and ideas and practical activities. We will support you to build confidence and self-esteem through discussion work, sharing ideas and experiences and also some practical activities. Learners will be encouraged to join in, be involved as they feel confident to do - there will be no pressure placed upon learners. This is a safe space to be honest about the things that challenge you while being supported to take small steps in achieving the life goals you may have.

Course aim

This course aims to help learners continue to gain confidence and raise self-esteem in order that they feel ready to take up and enjoy the opportunities on offer to them both personally and for work.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Feel more confident working in a group.
  • Recognise my personal strengths and be able to articulate them both in person and on paper.
  • Use strategies to feel calm about taking up opportunities on offer-personally and for work.
  • Recognise when positive things happen and say how this makes me feel.
