During this course we will try out different effects that can occur within textural mix-media painting, create and develop a memory board of treasures over 4 sessions and share ideas with others.
Course aim
Create a 2D mix-media painting, show memorable items such as photos, tickets, fabric or magazine cuttings. Also explore different art materials that will give a fun textural effect within the picture.
Do I need any particular skills or experience?
- This course is for beginners and improvers
By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Use different paint techniques.
- Create a mix-media memory image.
- Describe what mix-media is.
- Have confidence to be creative within mix-media.
- Use different painting effects.
What else do I need to know?
If you'd like to make the painting with the tutor, whist attending the session, you will need Card (A4 or A3 size) acrylic paints, pva glue salt/sand glitter (for texture) tissue paper, coloured paper, different colourful textural fabrics. Plus photos or magazine cuttings.
