With all that is happening in the world, I know I can get quite overwhelmed with all the information regarding the corona virus. What is it? How is it different from other viruses? Why can’t our bodies protect us from it? It is just the flu right? How does the vaccine actually work? Well come along to my course and learn how our bodies respond to attack and how viral vaccines are made and work within the body to enhance our natural defences.

Course aim

To introduce the body's immune system, understand how vaccines were made and how they help protect us from viruses.

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Explain how the Immune System works
  • Describe what a virus is and explain how it invades our body's
  • Understand what the current Corona Virus is compared to other viruses
  • Discuss implications of mass vaccination
