Christmas Activity - Fabric wreath making

This activity is part of our Christmas events. Any equipment or materials list required will be available on Canvas. Book onto this great workshop for a relaxing morning creating a colourful vintage style fabric wreath. The knotting process is fairly easy and there is lots of room for creativity by deciding your own colours.

Course aim

The aim of this session is to upcycle fabric from old clothes/sheets and fabric offcuts into strips to turn into a colourful and decorative fabric wreath.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Learn the steps to make a fabric wreath.
  • have awareness of your decision making process to choose the colours of your fabric strips.
  • Relax and feel the benefits of handmaking your own crafted pieces.

A wire circular wreath form minimum 8" across (double or triple ringed, available in craft shops) Pre-cut strips, approx 1" wide by 8" start with about 80 strips and more can be cut during the session. Extra fabric for more strips, if needed Scissors Hanging Ribbon measuring approx 14"
