An improvers’ art course for learners who would like to develop their skills and creativity in order to achieve self development, and build a portfolio of work. We will use charcoal, graphite, pastels, watercolour, acrylic and collage. Learn the ‘tricks of the trade’ while developing your own style.
Course aim
Learners will develop their drawing, painting and mixed media skills and build creative thinking. At the end of the course learners will have a portfolio of visual experiments which will aspire to a professional standard.
Do I need any particular skills or experience?
- This course is for improvers
By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Demonstrate drawing skills with observational and imaginative tasks.
- Improve painting skills including brushwork and colour mixing.
- Evaluate your use of mixed media.
- Combine creative thinking and personal ideas within mixed media.
What else do I need to know?
Please bring A3 cartridge paper, pastel paper, watercolour paper, canvas/ canvas board, pencils, pastels, watercolours, acrylics and brushes.You may like to bring a drink/flask. Those who are considered clinically vulnerable must consult Gov.uk before enrolling.
