History: Plymouth From 19th Century to Present Day with Alison Jones

Ref: C3532597

During the six weeks we will explore and discuss the impact the merging of the "Three Towns” had on the character of the City of Plymouth, as well as the devastating effects the Blitz in WW2 had on both the people and the very fabric of the city and the subsequent "rebirth" and rebuilding undertaken in the post war years. We will look at a variety of characters and events that helped shape the emerging city and offer the opportunity to investigate in more depth areas of interest
