Are you a lover of the theatre and the works of William Shakespeare? Would you like to expand your knowledge of his Comedies? This course will focus upon six of the Comedies:The Tempest, Measure for Measure, Much Ado about Nothing, A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Taming of the Shrew and Twelfth Night.

An introduction to the Comedies of Shakespeare with a focus on: The Tempest, Measure for Measure, Much Ado about Nothing, A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Taming of the Shrew and Twelfth Night.
Do I need any particular skills or experience?
- This course is for beginners and improvers
- This course will be conducted online via Zoom so you will need an internet connection.
By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Know the names of all the Comedies of Shakespeare.
- Know the plot in detail of six of Shakespeare's Comedies.
- Understand how Shakespeare used Comedy in all his plays as a device to modify the build up of tension.
- Discuss my preference of Shakespeare's Comedies with other learners.
What else do I need to know?
If you have hard copies of the plays then you may enjoy using them but this is not compulsory as text will be shared online.
