Students will be supported in developing the necessary skills to enable them to achieve their employment goals. Students will map out their next steps by finding information and identifying and exploring opportunities for career development. As well as learning about the different types of opportunities available, students also will develop the skills to be able to access them effectively. Everything from preparing a CV, applying for roles, completing applications to learning how to answer difficult interview questions with increased confidence.

Course aim

This course aims to help you with all aspects of the job seeking and recruitment process enabling you to plan your next steps in life and achieve your full potential.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Better understand the recruitment process
  • Demonstrate increased confidence about my own skills and abilities
  • Identify employment and volunteering opportunities, information and support for further development
  • Learn how to write a CV to target specific opportunities
  • Prepare effective answers to competency-based interview questions
