Introduction to Excel and Spreadsheets

A spreadsheet loves information as well as figures and charts. Use it for contacts, birthday list or inventory of your record or book collection - just like a library e.g. who borrowed what when, what jobs you have applied for etc. The only limitation is our own imagination. You will also been shown how to use online office apps and how to download and use free alternatives to Microsoft Office.

Course aim

The aim of this introductory course is for you to experience spreadsheets and see how it might help you be more organised or productive. How to create a budget, birthday list and contacts list.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Create and organise information.
  • Use spreadsheet auto functions.
  • Format text & Cells
  • Create a basic chart.

An internet connection, digital device with sound and video so that you can use our video learning platform, Zoom and a personal email address to join the WEA’s digital learning platform.
