Pilates for Runners (incorporating some practical anatomy)

Ref: C2527791

Pilates strengthens what is weak and loosens what is tight. Over tight or weak muscles can lead to injury when running. Many runners do not utilise the gluteus muscles' power or the core. We will be looking at how knowledge and activation of these muscles will further our practical pilates knowledge and strengthen the body for better running.

Course aim

We will be looking at how pilates can build a stronger runner's body, incorporating anatomy knowledge for visualisation purposes.

How will I be taught?

What kind of feedback can I expect?

What else do I need to know?

A pilates mat with extra cushioning is nice, or a towel on the floor - don't slip!. Loose, comfortable clothing such as leggings and a t-shirt. A cushion is helpful for head cushion and muscle activation.
