A short course that examines some of the key areas associated with fundraising. Areas such as: why fund raise; challenges facing fundraisers; key principles of fundraising; skills required for a fundraiser; planning your approach and outlining your organisation's needs

Course aim

This short introduction to fundraising course will examine some of the principles to fundraising; divided into three parts: background to fundraising, principles of fundraising & strategies in fundraising. Finally develop a fundraising programme.

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • understanding of the background to fundraising
  • Outline the principles of fundraising
  • Evaluate the strategies in fundraising
  • Develop a fundraising programme
